Welcome to The Colourful Caterpillar Pre-School

TCC Preschool was established in 1992 and has been based at Thatcham Children’s Centre ( now known as Swings and Smiles) since it began. It offers a safe and caring environment for young children between 2 and 4 and we aim for your child to have a very positive first experience of education.

We recognise that each child is different, with his/her own interests abilities and developing view of the world. We respect the many different forms of family life that children may experience as well as their social and cultural backgrounds.

We work in partnership with parents to develop the best programme of learning and support to benefit their child’s overall development. We also provide a range of support, information and advice for parents.

The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don’t tell you what to see.

If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.
