TCC Preschool runs morning sessions for our older children and afternoon sessions for younger children. Children are offered a maximum of 5 morning or afternoon sessions. We currently do not offer childcare for full days. Our sessions run Monday to Friday as follows: Mornings: 9.00 am to 11.30 pm Afternoons: 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm We also offer lunch club for morning and afternoon children during the following times: Lunch club for morning children: 11.30pm to 12 noon Lunch club for afternoon children: 12 noon to 12.30pm Lunch club is free for children who receive funding for their preschool place and at a cost of £1 for children who pay their own fees. Lunch club is optional but children must bring their own lunch. We promote healthy lunchboxes for the lunch club so request that parents do not include chocolate biscuits and ensure there is a balanced lunch, ie includes sandwiches etc. All children are funded by the West Berkshire Councils Early Years Education Grant from the term after their 3rd birthday when they are entitled to 15 hours a week free education for 38 weeks of the year. As part of the flexible free entitlement for children who are funded, we are able to offer you 5 sessions from when you child starts preschool. We generally start the children on 2 sessions until they are settled and then increase the number of sessions to 5 when they are ready. This would generally be by the first half term after they start. If you do not want the full 5 sessions you can choose to have as many as you would like. Extra sessions will then be offered when available. For those children who do not qualify for the early years education grant are charged £6.00 per session. Sometimes we have availability to offer children extra sessions to the 15 hours that you are funded. These sessions are charged at £8 per session. We are registered to accept up to 26 children each session. if you are interested in a place at our preschool please click here to print off an enrolment form that can be sent or dropped off at the preschool along with a copy of your child's birth certificate and a £5 enrolment fee. Admissions to the preschool are done on the child's date of birth. Acceptance onto our waiting list does not guarantee a place at the preschool although we generally are able to offer most children a place with us.
