Fees
Fees are £6.00 per
session ~ For sessions before your child qualifies for Early years funding.
Fees are £8.00 per session ~ For sessions in addition to the five funded
sessions.
An invoice is issued to you the previous half term. Fees are to be
paid by the end of the second week each half term.
Early Years Education Grant
West Berkshire council will pay your child’s fees from the term after your
child’s third birthday.
From the term after your child turns three he/she will be entitled to
12 1/2 hours a week free education for 38 weeks of the year.
It is our policy at TCC Pre-school to start a child on two afternoon sessions and increase gradually to five morning sessions (depending on availability of
places).
To claim the grant on behalf of your child we are
required to have a completed Parent’s Declaration form and a copy of your
child’s birth certificate. A new declaration is required each term.
Additional Sessions
You may at any time request additional sessions for your child. A maximum of
four afternoons or five mornings will be allocated. Additional sessions are
allocated according to availability. When sessions become available we first look at parents requests and if the child is ready for more parents
will be offered the session in writing. If there are no parents’ requests the
session/s will be offered to children that are happy and confident and could
cope with more sessions.
We aim to move children to five morning sessions the term of their fourth
birthday. However, this again depends on availability and due to infant school
intake procedures very few or no sessions become available for the Summer term.
We do make allowances in this term for four year olds attending afternoon
sessions so that they do all that the ‘morning’ children do i.e. Group activity.
Uniform
We have for sale t-shirts, sweatshirts and sunhats, they are navy blue and have
our scarecrow logo printed on in yellow.
