In 2006 a group of committee members decided to renovate a patch of land within the preschool grounds that was not being used. They managed to get a lottery grant from Awards for All to pay for the project and they gave lots of their time to complete the project during weekends.

Below are some pictures showing the garden before and after!

The end result!

Flowers to attract wildlife and stones for bugs

Compost bins, logs and a seat

In 2009 another group of committee members had some help (and money!) from Vodafone to renovate the garden again to refresh it and ensure its continued use.

It looks a bit sad in the Winter months but if you fancy coming in to do some gardening you are very welcome! In the spring we will be able to go out into the garden with the children and plant some flowers to make it look nice for the summer.

Now the sun is shining and the trees still have their leaves, the garden looks much nicer! The children were able to grow lots of vegetables in the garden and loved coming out to dig and look for bugs.
