Welcome to The Colourful Caterpillar Pre-School

The Colourful Caterpillar Preschool, also known as TCC Preschool, was established in 1992 and are based at Brownsfield, Bath Road, Thatcham, RG18 3AG (The Scouts Building).  We have previously been based at the A Place To Play building in Lower Way since it began and was there for the first 28 years of our Preschool existence. We offer a safe and caring environment for young children between 2 and 4 and we aim for your child to have a very positive first experience of education.

We recognise that each child is different, with his/her own interests abilities and developing view of the world. We respect the many different forms of family life that children may experience as well as their social and cultural backgrounds.

We work in partnership with parents to develop the best programme of learning and support to benefit their child’s overall development. We also provide a range of support, information and advice for parents.

The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don’t tell you what to see.

A partnership with parents

We work in partnership with parents to develop the best programme of learning and support to benefit their child’s overall development. We also provide a range of support, information and advice for parents.

If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.
